Technical Writer (Associate, I, II, or III) 

Areas of responsibility

Develops, authors, and edits technical documentation for wind and solar technologies service and maintenance. Works closely with engineers and technicians to ensure safe and accurate work procedures. Maintains relationships with SMEs in other departments and other regions as necessary. Participates in software training.

May dispatch daily work assignments for junior technical writers in consultation with the regional manager. May perform editorial oversight of the work of other technical writers. May travel to document work procedures in the field (US only).


Your profile

Consistent background in writing and revising technical procedures in a collaborative environment. Strong mechanical inclination, relevant degree(s) or experience with hazard analysis and isolation procedures (LOTO) a plus.

Previous experience as a technical copywriter, trainer/teacher, engineer, or technician helpful.

Highly qualified candidates will have knowledge of RWE systems, and an understanding of company writing, tooling, and safety standards.

External candidates must successfully complete a 6-month minimum contract before being offered full-time employment.
