Senior Administrative Manager Renewables (m/f/d) 

Areas of responsibility

RWE Renewables is searching for a Senior Administrative Manager (m/f/d) to develop, coach and functionally supervise the German based team of executive and team assistants (administrative staff members) to ensure a consistent, high quality level of support to the business ensuring that administrative support to the business runs smoothly and efficiently.


To succeed as a Senior Administrative Manager, you must be focused on attracting, retaining and developing top administrative staff member talent and on optimizing administrative processes to maximize quality and efficiency. You should have strong leadership and people development skills, be analytical, and organized with a proactive attitude and senior presence. The Senior Administrative Manager will report to the Head of HR Operations.


  • Developing a RWE Renewables Group wide competency model and career path for administrative staff members
  • Recruiting of administrative staff members and providing new hire orientations together with legal Line Managers
  • Supervising the day-to-day operations and coaching of administrative staff members
  • Assessing administrative staff members‘ performance and providing/organizing trainings in line with individual development and overarching business needs
  • Allocating responsibilities  across administrative staff members ensuring a well balanced support to the business including vacation planning and back up support
  • Ensuring the smooth and adequate flow of information within the team of administrative staff members to facilitate seamless business operations across business functions
  • Developing and continuously improving administrative policies, procedures & systems under consideration of interfaces to non-German based admin staff
  • Acting as German admin staff focal point of contact for non-German location-based admin staff
  • Acting as a point of contact for the business for all facility related  aspects in the major German locations and coordinating all business needs with RWE Facility Management

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related field or equivalent qualification
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in the administrative support field
  • Proven leadership and people development capabilities, strong team player
  • Continuous improvement mentality with proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Proactive, reliable, solution-oriented attitude, high service orientation
  • High level of professionalism and diplomacy, confident communicator towards Senior Management
  • Fluency in German required as well a excellent verbal and written English communication skills given highly international nature of the business (English as company language)
  • IT skills including mature knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and Intranet/Internet systems as well as SAP and standard RWE tools
