Our Partnering department within RWE Renewables in Essen is looking for a 

Partnering Transaction Manager (d/f/m) 

Areas of responsibility

  • Execute selected Partnering transactions - based on a defined Asset Partnering Strategy - for RWE Renewables' development or operating assets
  • Execute selected acquisitions for pipeline enhancement in EU as well as for New Markets
  • Design and structure Partnering transactions based on long-term asset partnerships in interaction with potential or existing partners/investors
  • Ability to effectively lead diverse transaction teams; acts as sparring partner for transaction team members
  • Hold accountability for budget and time transaction targets
  • Continuous financial and qualitative analysis of a defined number of transactions and transaction opportunities
  • Strong Interface, alignment and collaboration with various RWE Renewables technology and support functions on execution and local implications of given Partnering transaction

Your profile

  • Business or analytical/quantitative degree, with at least 5 years of experience in the area of Finance, Economics or Mergers & Acquisitions; MBA, CFA or similar postgraduate degree considered a plus
  • Understanding of the energy markets, generation technologies and investor markets
  • Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills coupled with the skill to execute and deliver projects and transactions
  • Ability to think and calculate through transaction scenarios with a creative approach and open mind
  • Comfort in managing relationships with senior stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Affinity and high motivation to work in an international and changing business environment
  • Strong personal skills, acting comfortably in various cultural environments with a sense for diversity and inclusion
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages a plus
