Senior Project Manager- Project Delivery 

Areas of responsibility

• Ensure the highest level of environmental health and safety on assigned renewable energy project(s).
• Lead the execution of renewable energy projects including definition of project scope and development of budget and schedules.
• Provide highly competent technical leadership resulting in successful project delivery
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders and provide them with appropriate direction and focus to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives in accomplishing tasks and activities.
• Coordinate project workflows across multiple departments including Development, Engineering, Procurement, Energy Marketing, Operations, Transmission, Finance and Groups internal or external to RWE Renewables to ensure overall compliance with the project objectives, contracts, budgets and schedules.
• Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
• Proactively manage the execution of project contracts and perform review and approval of change orders and invoices.
• Deliver meticulous project financial management resulting in consistently profitable work
• Assure the timely execution of the project within the established schedule and budgetary constraints and in compliance with safety, reliability, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate communication with senior management and all project groups and functions within and outside the company. Prepare and distribute progress status reports, as required.
• Engage staff through mentorship to build and strengthen the team
• Establish and implement a document management and retrieval system for the assigned project(s)

 

Your profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related field from an accredited university 
• Minimum 7-15 years of relevant work experience; 5+ years of progressive project management experience
• Deep understanding and knowledge of development, design and construction of renewable energy generation facilities. 
• Thorough understanding and implementation of projects in accordance with contracts
• Excellent solution-seeking, team work, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
• Able to travel 25% to 50% of the time
• Construction field experience is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
